A teen couple talks in St. Estes Reform School, and Francis tells Cletus that she’s being moved because of her mutations but doesn’t want to leave him. Francis is arrested while they cry. Francis mutates while traveling and attacks Detective Mulligan. Accidentally shoots Francis. Francis receives a newspaper and food in Romencroft today. The Doctor mocks Francis for reading about Cletus, a serial killer executed.

After that, Detective Mulligan tells Eddy that Cletus wants to see him and demands a police station meeting. Eddy is shocked but agrees because Cletus may reveal the dead bodies he has hidden. Venom cannot eat Mulligan when Eddy turns his back. Cletus says he likes Eddy in Den Quentin Jail. Cletus asks him to write his biography and address his fans. He gives him a poem about Francis, his love, for his story’s cover.
On their way out of jail, Eddy and Venom see Cletus’s room sketches. Venom remembers everything. Eddy leaves when Mulligan asks what Cletus said. Venom draws all his jail sketches and helps Eddy find the bodies after returning home. The police find many bodies at Eddy’s location, making him a hero. The judges confirm Cletus’s execution date after finding the bodies. Eddy enrages Francis and Cletus.
After tiring of chicken brains, Venom asks Eddy for human brains. Eddy refuses, but Venom reminds him he only needs a chocolate chemical and the brain. Eddy takes him to Mrs. Chen’s store, but she says the chocolate hasn’t arrived. Eddy and Venom eat poultry. After that, Venom tries to convince Eddy that hiding wastes their talent and helps a woman. Eddy stops Venom from eating the thief.
Eddy’s ex-girlfriend Anne apologizes for not calling and asks him to see her because she has important news. Venom thinks she dumped Dan. After a long time, Eddy gets confused by Anne, and Anne announces her engagement to Dan, saddening Eddy and Venom. Eddy hides his sadness and Venom’s presence, but Anne requests his care.
Next day, Venom makes breakfast and writes him. Eddy reads Cletus’s letter, which describes how he survived and killed his grandmother and mother as a child. His father and Estes Reform School students abused him. Eddy persuades Venom.
Next day, Eddy meets Cletus in jail. Cletus tells him all he wants is family and infuriates Eddy by saying he is murdered like him because he killed his mother during his birth. Eddy stops Venom, but Cletus bites Eddie’s hand and drinks his blood. Cletus’ blood tastes different after leaving.
Eddy chastises Venom for attacking Cletus. After apologizing, Venom suggests they fight the criminals like a lethal protector, but Eddy says they saved their day. Venom complains about Eddy’s dull life. Because he always thinks, Eddy asks him to leave. Eddy’s loser comment angers Venom.
Venom destroys his house and inhabits another man. Leaving, he wrecks Eddy’s bike. Venom’s blood creates Carnage, a symbiote that kills everyone. Carnage kills all guards and escapes prison with many criminals.
Eddy cleans Venom. Eddie calls Detective Mulligan after hearing that Cletus has escaped prison, who arrives at his door and asks him why he is always involved in such incidents. Mulligan describes the symbiote power suit that helped Cletus.
Mulligan takes Eddy’s Cletus meeting recording. Venom’s sketches lead Eddy to Estes School and Francis. Eddy contacts Mulligan after finding Cletus and Francis’ names on a school tree. Eddy says he killed Francis and that she can’t be alive. However, Venom arrives at a party with weird dresses and everyone likes him thinking it’s a dress. Prideful Venom wants Eddy. Carnage and Cletus rescue Francis at Romencroft. Doctor taunts Francis and Cletus kills her. Francis and Carnage meet her.
Police fleeing in carnage die. Venom’s host weakens and enters Mrs. Chen’s shop for chocolates. Detective Mulligan arrests Eddie, who requests a call. Eddy meets Anne. Anne asks Dan for privacy with Eddy at the police station. Eddy says Venom left her and asks Anne to find him because he cannot face Cletus and his symbiote alone.
Anne learns she has Venom from Mrs. Chen. Venom helps Eddy after Anne praises him. Carnage, Cletus, and Francis plan to get revenge at their wedding by gathering Mulligan, Eddy, and Venom. She-venom Anne escapes with Eddy when asked about Venom. Eddy apologizes to Venom and begs for his body. Venom enters Eddy after he apologizes.
Eddy suggests Dan and Anne leave the city. Francis sees Anne’s photo and ring at Eddy’s apartment. She knocks Dan out at Anne’s. Francis knocks her out while discussing Eddy with Anne. Carnage arrests Mulligan for trying to arrest Cletus.
Dan gives Eddie the Cathedral Church address while Mulligan and Anne are taken there. Venom and Eddy rush to the Church to save Anne. Venom kidnaps Carnage while Cletus and Francis marry. Eddie barely persuades Carnage to eat brains. Carnage defeats Venom. Dan arrives and burns Carnage, but he recovers and is about to eat Dan when Venom saves him.
Cletus defeats Eddy after church bells weaken both symbiotes. Francis avenges Mulligan. Carnage weakens Venom and leaves, requesting they watch him kill Anne. Eddy convinces Venom that Carnage and Francis are perfect for each other after they fight over her high voice. Venom is inspired and attacks Carnage again, freeing Anne despite being severely injured. Venom pushes Francis, who screams, and both symbiotes leave their hosts while the bell kills Francis. Dan and Anne help Venom save Eddy.
Before reaching Cletus, Venom devours Carnage. Venom talks to Eddie after retrieving Cletus. Cletus tells Eddie he only needs his friendship, but Venom kills him by eating his brain. Eddie warns Anne and Dan. Eddy says they’re friends and Venom asks to leave. Venom forgives Eddie on a beach for not giving him what he wants. The movie ends when Venom gets excited when Eddy says they can become lethal heroes.
