Together with her new movie Hedda – for which she is getting rave critiques – now streaming on Prime Video, Tessa Thompson has been doing the publicity rounds for the movie and, as anticipated, questions quickly turned to her future within the MCU and whether or not followers will see a speedy return of Valkyrie in any of the upcoming slate.
Chatting to Collider, Thompson has been reflecting on her work within the greatest franchise of all of them, particularly the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and has spoken of her love of it, and attending to work with so many actors whom she admires, saying:
“One of many issues that’s so cool about attending to play within the MCU is clearly all of the unimaginable actors that you just get to behave alongside.”
To this point, the actor has appeared in Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: Love & Thunder, Avengers: Endgame, and The Marvels, however says that she would like to see a special aspect – and tone – to any upcoming appearances as Valkyrie, saying that so far most of her appearances have been in a extra comedic tone than something, including:
“So, I really feel like I’ve principally existed in sort of a comedic area with Valkyrie, however I’m curious if I had been in a movie that felt much less comedic, how she would present up in these specific areas.”
One potential team-up Tessa Thompson could be open to is one with Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier star Sebastian Stan, one other actor she admires and would like to work with, saying that the 2 have been plotting to do one thing collectively in the future, in Marvel or not, including:
“I don’t know what his character would convey out in me, essentially, however I simply actually love Sebastian.”
No official phrase on whether or not Valkyrie will seem in Avengers: Doomsday subsequent Christmas, or in any future Thor movies, simply but.
