“I like what I’ve provide you with thus far…” Kevin Smith on Dogma sequel and bringing again Matt Damon and Ben Afflect

Reward the lord! Dogma is again in cinemas! Sure, the long-awaited return of Dogma is right here, hitting UK and Irish cinemas on seventh November in 4K restoration to mark its twenty fifth anniversary. Initially launched in 1999, author and director (and all-round legend) Kevin Smith unleashed this sharp, irreverent spiritual satire that sparked dialog, controversy, and cult fandom world wide.

Right here’s what Kevin Soth needed to say concerning the “bittersweet” time he had revisiting the film…

The film featured an all-star solid together with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Linda Fiorentino, Alan Rickman, Salma Hayek, Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith, Chris Rock, and George Carlin. It adopted Bartleby (Affleck) and Loki (Damon), two banished angels who search to use a theological loophole and return to Heaven – thereby inadvertently nullifying all of existence. A reluctant abortion clinic employee Bethany (Linda Fiorentino) is tasked with stopping them, guided by a heavenly host that features the final scion of Christ, a muse, a pair of prophets, and the voice of God.

Now with the rights firmly again in his palms, Smith is making a follow-up film to Dogma, and he revealed just a little about what the story will probably be, how that sequel will probably be completely different now that he isn’t a person of religion, and the logistics of bringing again Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for the film.
