Ten immortals fought the Ruffians in 5000 B.C. The Prime Wonderful Arishem the Delegated power brought the Eternals from Olympia to the Domo. Despite Arishem’s ban, the Eternals defend other city foundations from the Oddities. Eternals Sersi and Ikaris married after years of happiness.
Spanish and Oddities attack Tenochtitlan in 1521. Gilgamesh dumps Thena after Mahd Wy’ry turns her against her collaborators during combat. Ajak, from the Superb Never-ending, offers to repair Thena’s weight again at the cost of her memories, but Gilgamesh investigates her instead, risking her death if she changes her mind. Druig leaves the Eternals to fight the Spanish army after being confused by their avoidance of illicit human relationships. Ajak sends the Eternals somewhere unexpected after destroying the Oddities. Ikaris left Sersi after the Eternals expected Olympia’s return.

London-based focus babysitter Sprite dates Dane Whitman. Savages chase Sersi, Sprite, and Whitman after a party. Healing defeats the beast. Sersi, Sprite, and Ikaris search South Dakota for Ajak after Whitman leaves. They find her body—a Savage victim—at her home using all available information. Sersi uses Ajak’s circle to contact Arishem while mourning their boss. As Peculiarity risk rises, the three scatter to find other Eternals.
Kingo, who is filming another Bollywood film, is reluctant to rejoin the Eternals. After learning about Ajak, his valet Karun Patel convinces him to film a Kingo story. Gilgamesh and Thena attend the Australian social event after Wy’ry returns from another Rascal attack. After seeing Thena’s Wy’ry paintings of planetary annihilations, Sersi uses the circle to connect with Arishem. The Incomparable Brilliant tells Sersi Olympia arranged the Eternals on Style. He created the Peculiarities to eliminate Earth’s trackers and allow adroit life to thrive, but a fundamental flaw made them trackers.
Thus, the Eternals were sent to Earth to protect people, unaware that they were checking a seed that would bring the new Radiant Tiamut the Communicator once everyone reached savvy life. The Progression then destroys the planet and introduces the Divine, creating new life and universes. Arishem concentrated the Eternals’ memories for their next planetary mission. Frightened by their true purpose, Sersi enlightens. They realize a botched memory wipe after a Development caused Thena’s psychological issues.
They find Druig in an Amazon town to delay Development, but he refuses. Nighttime Savage battles. Ikaris and Sersi escape a monster by turning it into a tree. Gilgamesh runs to Thena again. This lets Peculiarity manager Kro find him and absorb his powers, gaining a humanoid form, clear speech, and his memories.
Kro kills Eternals for Peculiarity abuse before leaving. Gilgamesh’s final words help Thena understand herself. The Eternals mourn their most grounded contender, and Thena scatters his remains in the stream. Druig says he doesn’t have enough solid areas to influence a Sublime, so they go to Chicago to see Phastos, who abandoned humanity and his mechanical desires after his invention made the nuclear bomb. His perfect partner Ben Stoss and son Jack Stoss restored his faith in humanity. After refusing to leave his family, Ben convinces him to fight for Jack’s future.
Makkari is in Iraq’s Domo. Phastos suggests they use their massive energy to help Druig control the Wonderful and stop the Climb by building a Uni-Psyche. Only Ikaris objects. Kingo reviews his last Ajak relationship six days after promising to stay close. She tells Ikaris that while the Blip brought the Climb closer to reality, the Value competitors’ heroics made Arishem weak. Ikaris takes Ajak to a Gold country town where the Rising’s massive temperature support brought the Peculiarities trapped in ice back. He makes her help Kro, who adapts her life power and becomes hyper-regenerative. Ikaris takes Ajak’s body home before separating over his actions.
After Sersi rises, Phastos sends Makkari to find Tiamut on an Indian Sea volcanic island. Druig learns Ikaris destroyed Ajak, and Sersi learns Years earlier, Ajak revealed their mission. Ikaris believes Eternals must preserve life’s greatness to preserve the universe. Kingo pursues Ikaris with Sprite. Kingo leaves Karun to avoid fighting Arishem. Thena convinces Sersi to keep Ajak’s central unbiased as her replacement and stop the Arising from escaping humanity. Phastos destroys Sersi’s correspondence circle to get Eternals to wear Uni-Brain arm bunches.
Ajak tricks distract Sersi before Sprite cuts her. Even though she’s offended by Sersi’s guiltlessness, Sprite hates her for living normally after the Improvement. Druig recovers and takes Sprite out again, but he can’t use his powers against Tiamut, forcing Sersi to freely resist as the eminent rises from Earth.
Kro kills the Peculiarity while trying to control Thena’s mind like Gilgamesh. Ikaris escapes Phastos and stops Sersi. He can’t hurt her anyway. He abandons their love and future. However, something unites all the Eternals—including Ikaris and Sprite—into the Uni-Psyche, giving Sersi enough energy to turn Tiamut into marble. Before entering the Sun, Ikaris apologizes to Sersi. Phastos realizes Tiamut created the Uni-Brain to help Eternals survive planet annihilations, but this time it killed the Wonderful. Sersi uses Uni-Psyche energy to make Sprite human so she can grow up.
Thena, Makkari, and Druig leave South Dakota for Phastos’ Domo to find more Eternals. Sprite says goodbye to Sersi in London before class with Kingo. While Sersi dates Whitman again, Arishem keeps appearing outside Earth’s circle. He saves Sersi, Phastos, and Kingo from a terrible event by studying their memories. The film concludes.
