As the tip approaches for the gang in Hawkins, Indiana, Finn Wolfhard hopes to offer Stranger Issues a worthy send-off.
The actor admitted that he was “fairly apprehensive” the upcoming fifth and closing season of the Netflix sci-fi drama would get “torn to shreds,” much like how Recreation of Thrones‘ highly-anticipated 2019 finale left audiences divided.
“I feel everybody was fairly apprehensive, actually,” Wolfhard advised Time. “The best way that Recreation of Thrones received torn to shreds in that closing season, we’re all strolling into this going, ‘We hope to not have that form of factor occur.’ However then we learn the scripts. We knew that it was one thing particular.”
Wolfhard made his breakout efficiency as Mike Wheeler when Stranger Issues debuted in 2016, having starred within the younger ensemble for the whole thing of its five-season run.
With Season 5: Quantity 1 premiering Nov. 26 on Netflix, adopted by Vol. 2 on Christmas and the finale on New Yr’s Eve, Stranger Issues creators Matt and Ross Duffer teased in January that the ultimate outing will probably be a cinematic farewell.

“We spent a full yr filming this season. By the tip, we’d captured over 650 hours of footage,” Ross Duffer revealed. “So, for sure, that is our greatest and most bold season but. It’s like eight blockbuster motion pictures.”
