A red car hits young Nate while he fights the cargo plane men. The movie flashes back 15 years to younger Nate with older brother Sam. Sam breaks into a building and shows his brother Ferdinand Magellan’s picture, telling him he wasn’t the first to travel the world. Sam tells Nate about a lost treasure he found on the world’s first map.

Sam tells Nate they are related to Francis Drake, the most notorious pirate, and tries to steal the map, but security catches them. After promising to return, they escape prison. Nate reads Sam’s letter with his lighter after he leaves. Nate, a bartender, steals a bracelet from a woman. When he arrives, Sully takes the bracelet from his pocket.

Sully promises him a job and his dream destinations. He finds Sully’s card after he leaves. After that, Nate gets his bracelet from Sully’s house and looks at the map that got him caught stealing with his brother. Sully appears and claims to be friends with Sam, piqueing Nate’s curiosity. Nate leaves, saying he hasn’t seen his brother in ten years.

Nate calls Sully after reading his brother’s letter. The next day, Sully tells Nate they must start by stealing a pair of keys, but he has one and they must steal the other from an Augustine auction. He must crack and turn off the building’s lighting while Sully controls the rest. Nate texts Sully.

Next evening, Sully and him execute their auction plan in Augustine. They meet Jo Braddock, who works for Mr. Moncada, a Moncada family member claiming ownership of the hidden treasure. Sully warns Nate to leave Braddock. Mr. Moncada tells Nate the key’s history. The control room security guard catches Nate tampering with the lighting system during the auction. However, Sully keeps asking him to do something, and he delays the auction by bidding on the amount he does not have.

Nate distracts Braddock’s men while Sully steals the key. After Braddock takes the key bag, Sully escapes the security guards. Sully finds Nate driving.

Next day in Palestine, Sully introduces Nate to second key owner Chloe Frazer. Nate chases her after she leaves. He finally stops her from escaping by standing in front of his car and convincing her that she can’t do anything without them because she doesn’t know how to use the keys. Moncada begs his father to keep the treasure, but he refuses. Mr. Moncada leaves and hires Jo Braddock, telling her Sully’s location.

Chloe recognizes Nate as Sam’s brother and asks Sully if he told Nate about Sam, but Nate arrives and Sully changes the subject. Mr. Moncada talks to his father again, but he doesn’t believe him, so he kills him with Braddock’s help.

Nate solves the riddle and leads Sully and Chloe to a bar to use the keys to find the treasure. After searching everywhere, Sully finds a clue, and they use the keys to fight the arrows, barely surviving Sully’s mistake. Hidden path. Nate suggests Sully separate from them because the riddle requires them to use both keys at different locations and connects Sully’s phone to the GPs on his phone.

Braddock orders his men to find Nate when Sully searches for the next clue. Braddock’s men find Nate and Chloe at a bar. Nate fights the men while Chloe opens the hidden door. Nate defeats Braddock. Nate and Chloe fill the chamber with water using the key under a fountain. They ask Sully to save them immediately, and he finds a restaurant with a keyhole behind glass.

Braddock blocks Sully’s opening. Sully grabs the gun, throws the key, and shoots the mirror to distract her. Sully knocks out Braddock. His key saves Chloe and Nate from drowning.

They find the next clue, which requires both keys, but Sully won’t give his because he doesn’t trust them. Nate earns his trust and key. Large vases welcome them. The vases break, revealing a map. Chloe fires at him while requesting the map. Chloe knocks Nate out after asking Sully about Sam.

Nate wakes up to Sully and learns that Braddock killed his brother Sam while treasure hunting. Nate stops helping Sully find the treasure because Sully killed his brother. Braddock reports Chloe’s trick to Moncada, but Chloe arrives and tells him she’s been working for him and gives him the map she stole from Nate. After that, Sully visits Nate’s house and tells him he cannot let his brother’s killer win. Nate will help him finish what his brother started, not for the treasure.

They watch Moncada’s cargo plane takeoff to rescue more. Moncada orders his men to load his car carefully. Moncada then orders them to follow Chloe’s instructions to land in “Cara de Oro” and find the treasure. Moncada tells his men he’ll restore his family’s honor, but Braddock kills him while Chloe escapes. Sully and Nate steal Moncada’s corpse’s map while Braddock’s men search for Chloe.

On their way out, Nate finds Braddock and, despite Sully’s objections, draws his attention to take revenge for his brother and opens the parachutes attached to large blocks inside the cargo planes, which imbalances the plane. He fights Braddock’s men and hangs from the plane. Chloe escapes to Moncada’s car. Nate returns to the plane and falls with Chloe.

Chloe saves Nate from falling and books an island room in Sully’s name. Nate reads all his brother’s letters at night, hoping for guidance. Chloe sleeps after helping him. Nate discovers the clue in a letter about his blindness. Nate reads the hidden text with Sam’s lighter and finds the treasure’s compass. Nate gets excited but doesn’t wake Chloe. Chloe finds the coordinates next morning. Nate is pleased that he misled Chloe.

Chloe follows Braddock’s coordinates. Nate finds two ships at the map’s location. Sully says his phone is still connected to Nate’s GPS in the boat. They find the gold, but Nate says he was meant to find it with Sam. Braddock and her men arrive then and must hide in the ship.

Nate and Sully realize Braddock is trying to fly the ships with them after Braddock’s men search the boats and find nothing. They fight her men and hijack a helicopter. Nate defeats the attackers while Sully pilots the helicopter. Nate shoots Braddock’s helicopter and ship with the treasure. Braddock boards. She anchors and attacks Nate. Nate reaches Sully’s helicopter after saving gold.

Sully sacrifices his gold to save Nate. Shipwreck kills Braddock. Nate is excited and says they can save the gold, but Sully says the Philippine government owns it. Nate gives Sully his hidden gold before leaving.

In the first post-credit scene, Sam writes to his brother about awareness. In the second post-credit scene, Nate and Sully mistreat a man for Sam’s letter and he warns them of his men. They leave stunned.
