Filmmaker Charlie Shackleton was scorching on the path of the following nice American true crime documentary—a riveting account of a freeway patrolman’s quixotic effort to determine and seize the notorious Zodiac Killer. Shackleton devised a plan, started amassing interviews, and shot “evocative B-roll” footage of ghostly California freeways and parking heaps the place the killer could have as soon as lurked.
